Youth to Meet Prime Minister on National Youth Day

Karnal: The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, is hosting the Develop Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue from November 25 to December 5 through the My Bharat portal. According to Renu Silg, District Youth Officer at Nehru Yuva Kendra, this program will give 3,000 selected youths from across the country the opportunity to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of National Youth Day, January 12, 2025.

This event aims to showcase the youth’s role in building a Developed India, a cause recently championed by Prime Minister Modi, who emphasized the leadership role of youth in shaping the nation’s future. The program offers young participants a platform to share their thoughts and ideas on the nation’s development. The most attractive part of the event will be the direct interaction with the Prime Minister, where youths can contribute their views on India’s growth trajectory.

This initiative will also increase youth participation in both political and civic life. Outstanding performers in the competition will be awarded significant cash prizes, with the top performer receiving ₹1 lakh, the second-place winner ₹75,000, and the third-place winner ₹50,000. In addition, 100 top participants will receive ₹2,000 each, and the next 200 will get ₹1,000 as consolation prizes. All participants will also be awarded digital certificates.

Develop Bharat Challenge: A Four-Stage Competition
The Develop Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue is a revamped version of the Youth Festival, including a four-phase competition aimed at encouraging youth participation in shaping the future of India. The first stage features a quiz competition on the My Bharat platform, testing knowledge on India’s achievements. The second phase involves an essay and blog writing contest on topics such as empowering youth and technology for a developed India. In the third stage, participants will present their ideas at the state level. The final stage will see national-level presentations at the Develop Bharat National Championship in January 2025, where the best teams will meet the Prime Minister.
