Abohar : Hanumangarh police have arrested a 20-year-old man, Pramod alias Piku Nayak, from Rawatsar for creating over 350 fake Instagram accounts and distributing explicit videos of women and children. The arrest follows an in-depth investigation led by Superintendent of Police Arshad Ali.
Pramod, who operates a shop named Shiv Tarpaulin Bhandar in Rawatsar, was found in possession of multiple devices, including a laptop and five mobile phones, which contained evidence of his illegal activities. Police discovered explicit videos and records of payments he had received for sharing the videos via Instagram and Telegram.
The investigation revealed that Pramod had earned approximately Rs 1.5 lakh through this illicit scheme, where he used fake identities to evade detection. He created 300 to 350 fake Instagram IDs to distribute pornographic content, receiving payments in foreign currency.
Pramod has been charged under the BNS Act and IT Act. The police’s cyber team continues to analyze his devices for further evidence related to his criminal activities.
