Who Is Jeevanjot Major Arrest Made in Sidhu Moosewala Murder Case..
Delhi Airport becomes the arrest ground for prime accused Jeevanjot in the sensational Sidhu Moosewala murder case.
Punjab: In a significant breakthrough in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case, authorities have arrested Jeevanjot Singh, a key accused, from Delhi Airport. The arrest marks a major step forward in the investigation of the high-profile murder of the popular Punjabi singer and rapper.
According to sources in the Punjab Police, Jeevanjot had been under surveillance for several weeks. Acting on an intelligence input, a joint team of Delhi Police and Punjab Special Cell apprehended him at the Indira Gandhi International Airport as he was reportedly trying to flee the country.
Jeevanjot is believed to have played a crucial logistical role in the planning and execution of Moosewala’s assassination in May 2022. Police officials claim that he was connected to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has been under scrutiny for alleged involvement in several criminal activities across northern India.
“We have credible evidence that links Jeevanjot to the conspiracy and coordination of resources in the murder. His interrogation will likely open up more leads,” said a senior officer from Punjab Police.
Sidhu Moosewala, whose real name was Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, was shot dead in broad daylight near his native village in Mansa district, sending shockwaves across the country. The murder, which appeared to be meticulously planned, had sparked a nationwide outcry and demands for stricter action against gang violence.
So far, several suspects have been arrested in connection with the case, but Jeevanjot’s capture is seen as particularly important due to his alleged direct involvement with the masterminds.
The arrest has reignited attention on the ongoing gang rivalry and gun violence in Punjab and neighboring states. Security agencies are now focusing on interrogating Jeevanjot to uncover the remaining players and motives behind the killing.
Moosewala fans and the Punjabi music community have welcomed the news, calling for speedy justice. Meanwhile, authorities have tightened security and increased surveillance around potential suspects still at large.
Further developments are expected as the investigation intensifies in the coming days.
