VP, Venkiah Naidu expresses grief over Sirmaur bus tragedy
New Delhi, Jun 29 (UNI) Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday expressed grief over bus accident in Himachal Pradesh’s Sirmaur district that claimed ten lives.
Deeply saddened to hear about the loss of lives in Sirmaur bus accident, Mr Naidu said in a message.
The Vice-President said his condolences and prayers are with victims of the incident.
He wished for speedy recovery to the injured.
On Monday, ten people died and two others injured after a vehicle they were travelling in fell into a deep gorge on the border of Paonta Sahib and Shillai subdivisions.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday had condoled the loss of lives and announced a compensations of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 each to the injured.
