Uttarakhand CM Rawat calls on Def Minister Rajnath Singh
New Delhi, Jun 6 (UNI) Days after setting up of DRDO built Covid care hospital in Uttarakhand’s Haldwani on June 2, the state Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat on Sunday called on the Defence Minister Rajnath Singh here this morning.
Mr Rawat thanked him for setting up a Covid Care Hospital in Haldwani which is 269 Km away from state capital capital, a source privy to this meeting said, adding that CM was assured of further help if needed.
On June 2, the State Chief Minister has inaugurated the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) built 500 bedded Covid care hospital at Haldwani in Uttarakhand.
This much needed facility comprises 375 oxygen beds and 125 ICU beds with ventilators with 100 per cent power backup and centrally air conditioned for all weather conditions.
Named after the 16 Army Chief General Bipin Chandra Joshi, this Centre fully equipped with pathology laboratory, pharmacy, X-Ray and ECG units, was operational from June 3 and being managed by the doctors and nursing staff of Government Medical College, Haldwani..
