UP revolts: Several SP, BSP leaders join BJP
Lucknow, Nov 28 (UNI) Several senior leaders from BSP and SP joined BJP here on Sunday in the presence of Uttar Pradesh deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma and state BJP president Swantra Deo Singh.
Those who joined the BJP included former state ministers in UP government Jaynarayan Tiwari , Vijay Mishra, Madan Gautam, former MLA Kunwar Abhimanyu Pratap Singh, ex-BSP MLA Manoj Diwakar, Jagdev Kuril, president of Uttar Pradesh Dhobi Mahasabha, former IAS officer Ashok Kumar Singh, Ram Shiromani Shukla, former General Secretary of Pratapgarh High Court Bar Association and BSP leader Dharmendra Pandey.
Deputy chief minister Dr. Dinesh Sharma and Chairman of the Joining Committee, Dr. Laxmikant Bajpai were also present on the occasion. Party State vice president Daya Shankar Singh conducted the joining function.
Welcoming all the leaders into the party fold, State president Swatantra Dev Singh said that after being influenced by the nationalist policies and development of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, leaders of various parties and people from all walks of life are joining the BJP.
Singh said who have joined the BJP along with their supporters, will strengthen BJP.
The State President added that there are many political parties in the country, but the BJP is the only party which is committed for the development of the poor.
Responding to a question, Singh said that BJP does not give tickets in the name of religion or caste, and the parliamentary board of the party takes decision on this front after considering the reputation of an individual, workers and his popularity in the society.
“We believe in taking everyone along with us. BJP is a party that believes in ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas,” he added.
