*Armed Forces Flag Day is observed across the country on 7 December to collect funds from the common people and honour the martyres and the men who fought with bravery on the borders to safeguard the country’s honour.
1889 – John Boyd Dunlop, a Scottish inventor, was issued a patent for his pneumatic tyre.
1926 – The first U.S. patent for a household refrigerator, operating on gas, was issued to The Electrolux Servel Corporation.
1932 – The first gyro-stabilised vessel to cross the Atlantic, arrived in New York City. It was claimed that rolling was limited to a maximum of three degrees.
1941 – The Imperial Japanese Navy launched a surprise attack on the US naval base at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.

1945 – Microwave oven patented.
1982 – The first person executed by lethal injection in the U.S. was Charles Brooks in Texas.
1992 – Religious riots swept across India in the wake of the destruction of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya. More than 800 people had been killed and hundreds injured. The violence had thrown the government into chaos. The army had been called out to restore order in Bombay, where street battles left 41 dead. The stock market had been closed down and Parliament forced to adjourn. Advani quit as the leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha.

2015 – US Presidential candidate Donald Trump proposes banning all Muslims from entering the US.
2020 – Coca-Cola named the world’s No. 1 plastic polluter, in Break Free From Plastic’s annual brand audit.

1879 – Jatindernath Mukherjee , known as Bagha Jatin because he single handedly killed a Bengal Tiger. Was a Freedom fighter and revolutionary of Bengal, who founded Jugantar Party, promoting India’s independence (pic credit-X.com).
1889 – Dr. Radhakamal Mukherjee. Professor of Economics and Social Sciences, Vice Chancellopr of Lucknow Univ. He propounded the Theory of Moral Values in Society and held that a separation between fact and value was arbitrary. The facts and values could not be separated from each other in human interactions. Even a simple transaction was a value based or normatively conditioned behavior (pic credit-Jastor Daily).
1921 – Pramukh Swami Maharaj, the fifth spiritual successor of Bochasanwasi akshar Purshottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS). He renounced world at age 18 and was appointed Pramukh swami in 1950. He worked to sustain and spread Hindu Sanatan Dharma and inspire people to live morally. He built 1100 Swaminarain temples in several places including Gandhinagar Gujarat and Delhi. He inspired 55,000 volunteers, initiated 900 Sadhus, visited villages across India and abroad and counselled 8,10,000 people and was known as ‘People’s Guru’ (pic credit-Wikipedia).

2011 – Harry Morgan. Popular Hollywood actor who is known for roles in MASH, Col. Potter, The Flight of Dragon, Sparkling Cynide, DragnetThe Incident, Against Her Will, Family Plan etc. during his 60 years long film career. He was awarded Emmy and other cine awasrds.

The tallest man in medical history for whom there is irrefutable evidence is Robert Pershing Wadlow of USA. (born 22 February 1918), who when last measured on 27 June 1940, was found to be 2.72 m (8 ft 11.1 in) tall, also called Alton Giant . He lived for only 28 yeatrs until July 15, 1940.
