Three Nihangs Arrested for Alleged Assault on J&K Pilgrims

Fatehgarh Sahib : The Fatehgarh Sahib police have arrested three Nihangs for allegedly assaulting three pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir who had come to visit Roza Sharif. The accused, identified as Sunny Singh (Jasomajra), Jobanpreet Singh (Harbans Pura), and Sukhbir Singh (Boothgarh Khanna), have been taken into custody.

According to the complaint by Mudasir Ahmed Dar, one of the victims, the pilgrims had arrived in a special bus from Jammu and Kashmir and were purchasing vegetables near a gurdwara when the Nihangs approached them. Without provocation, the accused reportedly began abusing and attacking the pilgrims. One of the attackers allegedly used a sharp weapon, injuring one of the pilgrims.

The attackers followed one of the victims, Shaukat Ahmed, and continued to beat him. The police arrived promptly after being notified and took the injured pilgrims to the Civil Hospital in Fatehgarh Sahib for treatment.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to determine the motive behind the attack.
