Three Drug Peddlers Arrested for Supplying Heroin in Chandigarh
Arrests follow the seizure of heroin from Aarti, leading to a network of suppliers.
Chandigarh : Three drug peddlers were arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of Chandigarh Police for their involvement in supplying heroin. The arrests stemmed from the January 2 seizure of 30 gm of heroin from Aarti, a 48-year-old woman from Dadu Majra Colony. During her interrogation, Aarti disclosed that Gagan alias Gogi (36), a resident of Dadu Majra, was supplying drugs to her.
Following this lead, police arrested Gagan from Kalka, recovering 24.82 gm of heroin, 77.80 gm of charas, five knives, a dummy pistol, and a weighing scale. His interrogation led to the arrest of two drug peddlers from Amritsar: Gagandeep Singh (23), who was found with 50.61 gm of heroin, and another Gagandeep (24), who had 20.40 gm of heroin in his possession. The police confirmed that the second Gagandeep was the primary supplier in the network.
