Telengana Guv visits Andhra Medical College at Vizag

Visakhapatnam, Dec 17: Telangana Governor and Lt Governor of Puducherry, Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan visited the Andhra Medical College (AMC)here on Friday.

During her visit, Dr Tamilisai held a meeting with the head of the departments and expressed her appreciation of all the medical fraternity for the work done during the COVID period.
The meeting was followed by felicitation to Dr. T. Ravi Raju, Former Vice chancellor of Dr. NTRUHS
(Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences) and DME for receiving the Life time achievement award from the Indian Society of Nephrology (ISN).
The Governor gave away Meritorious awards to Dr. K Sowmya DM Neurology, for winning the national best brain award for the year 2021 and to AP Alla Deekshita, Mande Mercy Joses, Nammi Chandini who won 1st prizes in National seminar competition for 1st year MBBS students organized by All India Institute Of Medical Sciences, Mangalagiri.
Putlasreejani, Sanampalle Ram Pranay and Grandhi Lakshmi Sai Vijaya Vyshnavi were also awarded meritorious awards for their outstanding academic performance for the academic years 2020-2021.
Later, addressing the CAB Members, faculty, students and staff members on the occasion, the Governor appreciated Principal Dr. P.V. Sudhakar and the good work being done by Andhra Medical College.
She shared her experiences of being the youngest governor in the country.
She acknowledged the support received from her husband Dr. Soundararajan, a senior Nephrologist in Tamil Nadu state and advised all the faculty to take care of their own health.
