Amritsar (Punjab) : A tragic incident occurred in Amritsar’s Khabbay Rajputan village in Mehta, where unidentified assailants on a motorcycle opened fire during a football match, killing a 15-year-old boy and injuring an army soldier. The deceased has been identified as Gursewak Singh, while the injured soldier, Gurpreet Singh, was on leave when the attack took place.

The incident happened around 10 PM when the football match had just concluded, and the players were being felicitated. Suddenly, two unidentified youths arrived on a motorcycle and started indiscriminately firing at the gathering. The bullets fatally struck Gursewak, who died on the spot, while Gurpreet sustained severe injuries. Eyewitnesses described the chaos and panic as people ran for cover.
