Shocking Revelations in Ambedkar Statue Vandalism Case: Accused Had Mind-Washed in Dubai
Accused Akashdeep Singh Unveils Alarming Details in Police Remand; Heritage Street Incident Linked to Larger Conspiracy….
The accused in the brutal desecration of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s statue on Heritage Street, Amritsar, made startling revelations during police remand. Akashdeep Singh, who was arrested on January 26th after attacking the statue with a hammer, has now disclosed that he was mind-washed in Dubai before being sent to Amritsar to create chaos during Republic Day celebrations. According to the accused, his mission was to damage the statue and fuel tensions in the region. Additionally, he was tasked with burning the national flag in Bathinda, although he was arrested before carrying out that plan. The police are yet to recover the tricolor from him.
Akashdeep’s confession has raised several questions about the masterminds behind this sinister plot, which appears to be part of a larger conspiracy. The police are investigating the extent of his involvement and the role of any other accomplices who might have facilitated the attack.
Moreover, the incident has also brought to light negligence by the Amritsar Municipal Corporation. CCTV footage has surfaced showing the Fire Department placing a ladder near the statue on the night of January 25th, raising concerns about the security of the statue. The ladder remained there throughout the Republic Day celebrations, prompting further investigation into why such an arrangement was made. Allegations have been made that the ladder was placed deliberately, as some organizations had previously asked for a ladder to pay respects to the statue, but were denied.
Akashdeep, originally from Moga, Punjab, had gone to Dubai in search of work and had lost contact with his family. Four months ago, he returned to India but had been staying in a rented accommodation in Amritsar, avoiding contact with his family.
