Shiv Sena to contest UP polls, BJP set to lose: Raut

Mumbai, Jan 11 (UNI) Shiv Sena will contest at least 50 seats in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh election, announced party MP Sanjay Raut on Tuesday.
Talking to media persons here, Mr Raut said, “Ahead of polls, UP Minister Swami Prasad Maurya’s resignation from the BJP and subsequent induction in the Samajwadi Party is beginning of BJP’s set back. It also indicates about the election outcome.”
Shedding light on the poll strategy for Goa state, he told, “Talks are underway with other like-minded parties. But, Congress has decided to go alone in Goa. We are trying to use Maharashtra formula in Goa too.”
He asserted, “More and more leaders from various parties are ready to cooperate with the opposition
in UP. The Samajwadi Party and allies will form the government in UP.”
Lastly, Mr Raut, who is also Sena spokesman, informed that he will visit Uttar Pradesh very soon.
