Shanta Kumar condoles death of Virbhadra Singh

Sonia, Rahul and many leaders pay homage to former Himachal Chief Minister

Dharamshala, July 8 (UNI) Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Shanta Kumar toon Thursday condoled the death of former Congress Chief Minister of this hill state Virbàharda Singh who passed away in the wee hours of this morning in IGMC Shimla.

Shanta Kumar in a statement said that Mr Singh was among the front line leaders of the state who was an able administrator, positive politician and leader with a polished tounge. He said that the six time Chief Minister Mr Singh was an asset for the state with whom Mr Kumar had good personal relations. He said that with his death a political vacuum has bee created in the state. He expressed sympathies with the bereaved family.

Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, Sarveen Choudhary also condoled the demise of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. She said that the loss caused to Himachal by the passing away of Raja Virbhadra Singh is difficult to describe in words. She said that I am speechless. Every Himachali is in shock today after Virbhadra Singh left like this. This is a huge loss for Himachal which can never be recovered. His strong will, commitment and determination will always be a source of inspiration for all of us. The story of development he has written in the history of Himachal will be remembered for centuries.

MLA Dharamshala Mr. Vishal Naihariya also expressed grief on the death of Virbhadra Singh, who was the Chief Minister of the state for six terms.

MLA Vishal Naihariya said that the news of the demise of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh was very shocking for all of us. He said that it was an irreparable loss to Himachal Pradesh which will never be compensated. His contribution to the development of Himachal is exemplary, which will never be forgotten. MLA Vishal Naihariya prayed for the bereaved family to bear this loss.
