Schedule Change for 68th Gymnastics School National Games
Postponement Disrupts Haryana Team's Training Camp and Players' Preparations
Ambala: The much-awaited 68th Gymnastics School National Games, scheduled to be held on December 9 in Kolkata, has been postponed. This sudden change has disrupted the players’ training schedule and preparations. The seven-day training camp for Haryana’s team, which was underway in Ambala, has also been suspended until further notice.
The training camp was meant to host players from various cities across Haryana, but many had not yet arrived. Now, all athletes eagerly await the announcement of new dates for the event. Once the revised schedule is finalized, a fresh gymnastics camp will be organized to continue their preparation.
Sources reveal that the venue for the games in Kolkata has not yet been confirmed, leading to the delay. Authorities are still deliberating on a suitable location.
The Haryana team includes players from Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 categories, with nearly ten athletes hailing from Ambala. These players have been training rigorously for the past month, dedicating their mornings and evenings to perfecting their skills. Expectations are high for Ambala’s athletes to bring home medals from the competition.
Uncertainty Looms Over Players’ Efforts
The postponement has brought uncertainty for young gymnasts who were gearing up to showcase their talent on a national platform. Coaches and players alike are hoping for a swift resolution and announcement of new dates to resume their preparations.
High Hopes for Ambala Athletes
Despite the setback, optimism remains strong among Ambala’s athletes and their supporters. The community believes the extra time will allow the players to further refine their skills and deliver an even stronger performance when the games eventually take place.
