Kangra, Dec19: RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday visited Bajjreshwari temple, one of the 52 shakti peeths, and paid obeisance before the deity.

He visited the entire complex where Chief Poojari Ram Prasad Sharma briefed him about the history of the temple where the left breast of Goddess Sati had fallen when Lord Shiva was carrying the consigned body of Sati in the Himalayan terrains. He was told that the right breast of Goddess Sati had fallen at Hinglass in Pakistan.
Mohan was briefed about the idol of Barav in the premises whose eyes experience tears and the body sweats before any untoward happening, particularly a natural disasters, was to shatter the valley.

Mohan Bhagwat was honored by the local SDM who is also Assistant Commissioner of the temple.
It took Mohan half an hour to visit the temple and get honored in the temple office within the premise.
The pilgrims who were in this temple today to pay obeissance were asked to vacate the temple 15 minutes before the arrival of Mohan Bhagwat. The pilgrims who had arrived in this temple town today to visit the Bajjreshwari temple here were stopped ahead of the temple gate because of Mohan Bhagwat’s visit.
Hundreds of pilgrims were stranded for 45 minutes in the Mandir bazar because Mohan Bhagwat was in the temple and authorities described it as a security measure.

Pilgrims who got stranded resented saying that due to security reasons common people should not be taken for a ride and should not be put to a dock.

Some pilgrims said that people with such security Cover should avoid visiting such religious places so that common people, men, women and children are not left in a lurch.

Most of the stranding pilgrims when allowed to move to the temple gate after 45 minute heaved a sigh of relief but expressed resentment over forcing pilgrims to vacate from the temple and stopping those who were on way to the temple.
