Rs 1 lakh insurance cover for Chardham devotees
Dehradun: Devotees will now get an insurance cover of one lakh rupees in case of an accident within temple premises of Uttarakhand’s Chardham: Badri Nath, Kedar Nath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.
This insurance will be provided by the State Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj’s spiritual organization Manav Utthan Sewa Samiti. The premium of insurance will be paid to United India Insurance Company Limited.
Badrinath- Kedarnath Temple Committee’s media in-charge Dr Harish Gaur said that the Chief Executive Officer of the temple committee, B D Singh has written a letter to the Deputy District Magistrates of Joshimath, Ukhimath, Barkot (Yamunotri), Bhatwadi (Gangotri) informing that this insurance cover will be given in case of any accident in the temple premises.
In the letter, he said that the insurance amount would be payable to the United India Insurance Company Limited through Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee. (UNI)
