Dehradun, March 2 (UNI) Newly-elected Leader of the Legislature Party, Pushkar Singh Dhami, along with President of Uttarakhand BJP Madan Kaushik, met Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Secretary) on Monday and staked claim to form the government. The BJP State chief handed over the request letter to the Governor for the formation of a new Cabinet under the leadership of Pushkar Singh Dhami. Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi; Ajay Bhatt, MP; former chief minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Pro-tem Speaker Banshidhar Bhagat, newly-elected MLA Satpal Maharaj, Premchand Agrawal, Rekha Arya, Arvind Pandey and other newly-elected MLAs were present on the occasion at Raj Bhavan. Accepting the request letter given by the BJP State President, Governor Gurmeet Singh (Secretary) decided to administer the oath of office and secrecy to Pushkar Singh Dhami as the next Chief Minister of this hill state.
