Punjab Kulhad Pizza Couple Gets Relief from High Court
Gun Culture Promotion Case Put on Hold, Government Asked to Respond….
Jalandhar : The Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted temporary relief to the famous “Kulhad Pizza” couple in a case related to promoting gun culture on social media. The couple, who gained immense popularity for their unique food business, was under legal scrutiny after a viral video allegedly glorifying gun culture surfaced online. Following the controversy, a case was filed against them, accusing them of encouraging violence and promoting weapons in violation of state laws.
In response to the petition filed by the couple, the High Court has stayed further hearings on the matter and sought a detailed response from the Punjab state government. The couple’s legal counsel argued that the video was taken out of context and that they had no intention of promoting gun culture. They further claimed that the charges against them were exaggerated and were part of an attempt to defame them.
The state government, on the other hand, has been actively cracking down on social media content that promotes violence and gun culture, particularly in Punjab, where incidents of celebratory firing and weapon glorification have been on the rise. Authorities have been warning influencers and social media personalities against posting content that could potentially incite violence or create a negative impact on young audiences.
The case has sparked a debate on the role of social media influencers and their responsibility in shaping public opinion. While some people believe the couple was unfairly targeted, others argue that public figures must be mindful of the messages they spread through their content. The High Court’s decision to put a hold on the case has given the couple temporary relief, but the legal battle is far from over.
The court has asked the Punjab government to present its response in the next hearing, where it will decide whether the case should proceed further or be dismissed. Meanwhile, legal experts suggest that this case could set an important precedent for regulating social media content and defining the limits of free speech in India.
