Visakhapatnam, Feb 20 (UNI) President Ram Nath Kovind arrived here on Sunday evening to participate in the president’s fleet review tomorrow. On his arrival at the Naval Air Station, INS Dega here, the President was received by Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswa Bhushan Harichandan, Chief Minister Y.S Jahan Mohan Reddy and his cabinet Ministers, MPs and Naval and civil officials. Parliament members among those who present to receive the President are M.V.V. Satyanarayana, G. Madhavi, and Dr. B.V. Satyavathi. The Chief Minister left for Vijayawada after receiving the President at the airport. Meanwhile, the Indian navy is fully geared up for the PFR to be organized in the steel city on Monday. Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral R Hari Kumar, who arrived here on Saturday, reviewed the overall preparations for the President’s Fleet Review (PFR) on Sunday. The 12th edition of the PFR is being conducted here on Monday as part of the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence, being celebrated as ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. Ram Nath Kovind, who is also the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, embarked on the Presidential Yacht INS Sumitra will review the Indian Naval Fleet comprising over 60 ships and submarines, and 55 aircraft.
