Beed, Jun 4 (UNI) BJP national president J P Nadda said that late Gopinath Munde, despite being a national leader, was also known as a “Lok Nayak” for his close association with all sections of people.
He was not just a leader of a community but of all and worked for the welfare and development of the deprived and poor people of the country, Mr Nadda said.
On the 7th death anniversary of Munde on Thursday, a postal envelope in his name was released by Mr Nadda virtually.
Mr Nadda said that this innovative initiative of the Postal Department will inspire the youth to know the social work of Munde.
Munde’s life journey shows a supernatural knot of struggling life and courage. He implemented various schemes to solve the problems of the poor and make their lives easier.
His speeches in Parliament, style of working and charisma were attractive. Due to his simple lifestyle and constant struggle against injustice, he became a true leader of the people, he added.
Munde died in a road accident in New Delhi on June 3, 2014, when he was proceeding towards the airport to leave for Maharashtra.
