Police Arrest Five Members of Jaggu Bhagwanpuria Gang with Arms and Ammunition

Gangsters Planned Targeted Killings; Weapons Seized, Investigation Underway…

Tarn Taran: Police have arrested five members of the notorious Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang, preventing possible targeted killings and seizing firearms and ammunition.

A team from the local CIA, led by ASI Lakhwinder Singh, arrested the gang members last night from Khabbe Dogran on the Tarn Taran-Jandiala Guru road. The arrested individuals were allegedly planning criminal activities linked to gangster Jagdeep Singh alias Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and Amritpal Singh alias Amrit Bath of Mianpur (Tarn Taran).

The arrested suspects have been identified as Gurmeet Singh alias Rawal (Batala), Harpal Singh (Gurdaspur), Lovepreet Singh alias NP (Amritsar), Shamsher Singh alias Shera Passian, and Sandeep Singh alias Goli (Amritsar). Police recovered four weapons, including a USA-made 9mm Glock pistol, two .32 bore pistols, and a country-made pistol, along with 15 live cartridges and three magazines. The police also impounded their Hyundai Creta car, which was used in their criminal activities.

During interrogation, the gang members confessed that the weapons had been supplied by Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and were intended for use in targeted killings, directed by gangster Amritpal Bath. The suspects are linked to multiple criminal cases, including attempted murder, illegal arms possession, and gang-related violence.

SSP Abhimanyu Rana stated that the arrests have provided critical information regarding a recent targeted murder in Tarn Taran, and investigations are ongoing to trace the gang’s further connections.
