Delhi NCR : Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate several development projects in Delhi today, a move aimed at further boosting the city’s infrastructure and preparing for the upcoming assembly elections. The Prime Minister will lay the foundation for projects worth crores, with significant contributions to education, housing, and urban development.

Among the key projects, PM Modi will inaugurate the World Trade Centre (WTC) in Nauroji Nagar and the General Pool Residential Apartments (GPRA) Type-2 quarters in Sarojini Nagar. The WTC project has transformed more than 600 old, dilapidated quarters into modern commercial towers offering around 34 lakh square feet of premium commercial space. The GPRA Type-2 quarters in Sarojini Nagar, which include 28 towers with over 2,500 residential units, are designed with state-of-the-art facilities such as rainwater harvesting, sewage treatment plants, and solar-powered waste compactors, promoting environmentally conscious living.

Additionally, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for three major educational projects at Delhi University, costing a combined total of ₹600 crore. These include the Vir Savarkar College in Najafgarh and educational blocks in East Delhi and Dwarka, aimed at improving educational infrastructure in the capital.

As part of the ongoing efforts to enhance housing facilities for Delhi’s marginalized populations, the Prime Minister will hand over keys to newly built flats to beneficiaries under the Slum Rehabilitation Project. These flats, built at a cost of ₹25 lakh each, are part of the government’s initiative to provide affordable housing to those living in slums, with beneficiaries required to pay a minimal percentage of the total cost.

PM Modi will also inaugurate the CBSE Integrated Office Complex in Dwarka, a ₹300 crore project designed to meet the growing needs of the education sector. The eco-friendly building includes advanced facilities such as offices, an auditorium, a data center, and comprehensive water management systems.

In his efforts to engage with Delhi’s residents, the Prime Minister will also attend a rally at Ashok Vihar. The route for this event has been secured by the Delhi Police, who have undertaken a comprehensive security verification for thousands of families in the area.
