Pilgrims to be allowed to to watch Ram mandir construction
Ayodhya, Aug 9(UNI) Pilgrims going for the Darshan of Ram Lalla can now catch a glimpse of the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya amidst tight security so that “they can see history in making with their own eyes.”
A senior trustee of the Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust said here on Monday that a 15 feet wide iron mesh has been placed and the pilgrims can watch the construction from that iron mesh.
“Arrangement is being made to show the construction work from Shri Ramlala’s Darshan Marg. The pilgrims, while going for darshan of Ram Lalla themselves witness how the foundation of the temple is being laid and how the structure will come up in a phased manner,” he said on the condition of anonymity.
He said that the Trust is regularly getting requests from the people, who had come from far-flung areas of the country to watch the site where the temple is being constructed. For security reasons these pilgrims are not being allowed into the construction site.
“But now we have decided to allow the pilgrims to have a look at the construction site so that they can go back to their states and cities and tell people about the ongoing construction,” he said.
Construction work is visible from the Ram Lalla darshan Marg but earlier the pilgrims were not allowed to go by that way. Now, they will not be allowed to stop and crowd the pathway but they will be asked to move forward.
Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust oversees the construction and management of the upcoming Ram Mandir in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya.
Over 60 percent of the foundation laying process is over and the construction of the temple is expected to start by the end of this year.
The foundation work of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is being done using the Roller Compacted Concrete technique. Total 40-45 layers of concrete will be put in a 1,20,000 sq feet area.
