Odisha govt. to conduct mock drill to test Covid readiness

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has decided to conduct a mock drill across the state on December 27 to test the preparedness for Covid 19 following a surge in the viral infection in some countries.
Public Health Director Niranjan Mishra said the mock drill will be conducted in all the district headquarters hospitals, Rourkela Government Hospital and Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar.
Mishra said Covid test is going on in various hospitals and the rate is higher than the national average.
In addition to it, genome sequencing is also being done at RMC and in ILS Bhubaneswar and SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack.
He said the government is prepared to face any covid situation and appealed to the people not to panic. (UNI)
