Nepal : A fresh earthquake shook Nepal, causing tremors that left locals in a state of panic. While the tremors were not as intense as previous quakes, they were enough to rattle people, with many fleeing their homes. The earthquake struck at a depth of 25 kilometers beneath the Earth’s surface, which contributed to the intensity of the tremors. The earthquake occurred in the early morning hours, around 4:30 AM, when most people were still asleep, and many were awakened by the sensation of their beds shaking.

According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake in Nepal was measured at 4.0 on the Richter scale. This moderate earthquake comes after a series of tremors were felt in neighboring countries like Myanmar and Tibet. While the damage in Nepal has been minimal so far, the emotional and psychological impact on the residents has been significant, with many experiencing fear and anxiety, especially as the earthquake struck without warning in the early hours of the morning.

The region of Nepal has been no stranger to earthquakes, as it lies in a seismically active zone. The impact of previous quakes has left deep scars on the communities, and even minor tremors tend to evoke memories of past disasters. Despite the relatively low intensity, the timing and sudden nature of the quake sent people rushing out of their homes, unsure of the magnitude of the tremors.

In addition to Nepal, a moderate earthquake with an intensity of 4.6 on the Richter scale was also reported in Japan. However, there were no immediate reports of major damage or casualties from either of the earthquakes. Both Nepal and Japan are located along the Pacific Ring of Fire, a region known for its frequent seismic activity.

As Nepal braces for potential aftershocks, the authorities have urged residents to remain alert but reassured them that no significant damage has been reported so far. The National Center for Seismology continues to monitor the situation closely.
