Punjab: Uncontrolled Roadways Bus Collides with Pickup in Dharamkot, Several Injured

A major accident occurred in Moga’s Dharamkot area near Kamal village when a Punjab Roadways bus, coming from Jalandhar, lost control and collided with a Tata pickup. After the collision, the bus fell several feet down the roadside. Several passengers were injured in the incident.

At the time of the accident, there were around 50 passengers on the bus. About 3-4 passengers sustained serious injuries and were immediately rushed to the government hospital with the help of Moga Seva Society.

Eyewitnesses reported that the bus driver was talking on the phone during the drive, despite being warned by passengers. The bus was speeding and lost control, first crashing into the road divider, then hitting the pickup before falling into a ditch.

The police and local villagers quickly arrived at the scene to assist with rescue operations and evacuate the injured passengers.
