Meeting Governor for Maratha reservation, a ridiculous and misguiding act of the govt
Kolhapur, May 11 (UNI) “It is a ridiculous act and misguiding the peoples as a delegation led by CM Uddhav Thackeray meet state governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari for Maratha reservation to give a memorandum”, criticized Bhartia Janata party (BJP) state chief Chandrakant Patil.
Reacting sharply on today’s meeting of a delegation led by Mr Thackeray, deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar and chairman of cabinet sub-committee Ashok Chavan, who met Mr Koshiyari and handed over a memorandum on Maratha reservation in which they requested to hand over to president to consider the issue, Mr Patil while talking with reporters and electronic media here this evening that the state goverment’s act of to meet state governor for Maratha reservation as very ridiculous and misguiding the Maratha community peoples from main subject and observed this act (to meet governor) as “someone wanted to go Pandharpur but seat in Goa bus”.
Mr Patil said that except to meet state governor with a delegation, the goverment should go by proper chanel if it wanted realy to give reservation to Maratha community. Goverment should have to constitute a backward commission as per 102 constitution amendment, which would decide Maratha as backward, then this report should have to put before cabinet and after it accepting to send central backward commission , which would sent to president after scrutiny and then lastly president would send this report to state goverment to make law of reservation and all this process put aside and choose a simple way of to meet governor, who has received term of abuse from last six to seven months from Maha Vikas Aghadi goverment and it’s leaders.
He said that the state government should stop to make silly to Maratha community peoples and if the government to go legally in deep in this issue then the Maratha community peoples would get proper justice and calm down.
