Masks made essential in HP education institutions, govt & private offices

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh government Friday issued notification wearing masks mandatory in Educational Institutions, Government and Private Offices, indoor and outdoor gathering with immediate effect.
A notification issued by the Secretary health Subhashish Panda said Covid – 19 appropriate behavior, especially usage of masks, are being ignored by the general populace posing a serious threat to public health, moreover, number of Covid – 19positive cases in the State are increasing day by day as also the number of hospitalizations.
The decision of the Government in this regard should be implemented strictly and also disseminated for compliance. Taking cognizance of this, it is now hereby instructed that wearing of appropriate masks will be ensured in all Educational Institutions, Government & Private Offices and indoor or outdoor gatherings for the prevention of further spread of the virus in the population and for the well – being of every individual. Persons who are immune compromised or with comorbidities are especially vulnerable and a few fatalities of such patients have also occurred. (UNI)
