Major Accident in Punjab: Pickup and Canter Collide, Nine Dead in Guru Harsahai

Firozpur:  A devastating accident occurred in Punjab’s Firozpur district on Friday, leaving nine people dead and several others injured. The incident took place near Golu Mor on the Firozpur road, when a pickup truck carrying 25-30 waiters collided with a stationary canter truck. The waiters, who were traveling to Jalalabad for an event, met with a fatal crash when their vehicle smashed into the broken-down canter at high speed.

The impact of the collision was so severe that nine people lost their lives on the spot. Emergency services rushed to the scene, and 18 injured individuals were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Among the injured, six were reported to be in critical condition and were referred to higher medical facilities for further treatment.

The tragic accident is believed to have been caused by a combination of heavy fog and speeding, which reduced visibility and contributed to the crash.
