Krishna Janmabhoomi: Both sides stick to their arguments
Mathura: A local court on Thursday fixed July 11 as the next date of hearing after listening to the arguments of both the sides in a case related to Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi dispute in Mathura, here on Thursday.
The next date was fixed by the court of Civil Judge (Senior Division) Jyoti Singh.
During the hearing, a dramatic turn came during one point that it should be decided that whether the suit is maintainable or the survey of the Shahi Masjid Eidgah is necessary. Rajendra Maheshwari, the counsel of the plaintiff, said that he clarified before the court that why conducting the survey of the Shahi Masjid Eidgah first was necessary.
He said that while presenting his side a copy was given to the respondent side in the court. He also has submitted a copy of the revision court to the respondent side in which it has been stated to conduct day to day hearing while considering the importance of the survey of Eidgah.
The counsel for the plaintiff also stated that he has also attached a copy of the order of the District Judge in Ranjana Agnihotri versus Shahi Masjid Eidgah setting aside the objection of the respondent side seeking the maintainability of the suit first. While doing so, the Judge passed the order. He also said that he has handed over the copy of all the arguments to the respondent side.
On the other hand, advocate Neeraj Sharma, who represents the respondent side, said that he has sought time from the court to study the objections raised by the plaintiff’s side. They will reply on the next date, he added.
Sharma also said that the copy of the order passed by the District Judge in this case in respect of Ranjana Agnihotri etc. vs Shahi Masjid Idgah etc. is ‘unfair’, because that order is not of the High Court. “The order has been challenged in the High Court, whose copy we will hand over to the court on the next date,” he said.
