Kerala Min assures to solve allegations of harassment raised by Kitex group from officials
Kochi, Jul 3 (UNI) Kerala Industries Minister P Rajeev on Saturday urged Sabu Jacob, Kitex group chairman, to reconsider his decision to backtrack from a Rs 3500 crore investment plan signed with the state government.
Rajeev has also given his assurance that the allegations raised by Jacob regarding the harassment that the company had suffered at the hands of the government will be looked into seriously.
The minister said though “we have not received any official complaint from Kitex, we will look into the issues raised by them seriously. We will not allow any activities that derail development of the state”.
The industrial sector is on the path of revival. “We will offer the government’s full support to genuine investors”, he said.
Businessman M A Yusuff Ali has also urged Kitex Group not to backtrack from its investment plan in Kerala. He requested the government and Kitex officials to hold talks and come to an agreement.
