Kapil Sharma, Rajpal Yadav and 2 Other Celebrities Receive Death Threats

Mumbai : Comedian Kapil Sharma, actor Rajpal Yadav, choreographer Remo D’Souza, and actress Sugandha Mishra have received death threats via email. The threat was sent to Rajpal Yadav’s team email on December 14, 2024, from an account named ‘Bishnu,’ warning that Sharma, his family, associates, and Rajpal Yadav would be killed.

The email, sent from don99284@gmail.com to teamrajpalyadav@gmail.com, prompted Yadav’s wife, Radha Rajpal Yadav, to file a police complaint at Amboli Police Station in Mumbai. The police have registered a case under Section 351(3) of the Indian Penal Code, which pertains to threats of harm. An investigation has been launched into the origins of the threat.

The threat emails were also received by Remo D’Souza and Sugandha Mishra, who have filed their complaints separately. According to the police, the email was traced back to Pakistan.

The message, signed off as ‘BISHNU’, warned the celebrities that their activities were being monitored, urging them to take the threat seriously.

This incident adds to the growing concerns in Mumbai following recent threats to high-profile individuals, including Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and actor Saif Ali Khan.
