Jobs now given in a transparent manner without any discrimination: CM Yogi
Lucknow, 16 Dec: Unleashing a sharp attack on the previous government for making the recruitment process corrupt through bribery, the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said that between 2012-2017 during Samajwadi Party regime, ‘rishwat lekar naukri di jaati thi’ (jobs were given after taking bribe).
He said that in the present regime all recruitments are done in a transparent manner, without any discrimination and bias. He said that Uttar Pradesh has undergone a complete transformation and its perception in front of the country and across the globe has changed.
The CM said this while handing over the appointment letters to 58 Sub-District Magistrates(SDM), 34 District Basic Education Officers, 43 Senior Lecturers at the District Education and Training Institutes, 173 Review Officers, 398 Sugarcane Supervisors, 10 Senior Cane Development Inspectors, 208 Assistant Engineers, 236 stenos selected through Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission and Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) here.
Congratulating the newly appointed officers, the CM said, “You are the spine for turning the state economy as number one economy in the country. If the spine get injured, the entire system falls. The previous governments had made this state spineless, We intend to turn the state as number one in the country with efficient people like you.”
He said that good Governance was not possible merely by changing the government, rather the entire system needs to reformed. Officers should also get a chance to work in a positive and good environment, he added.
The CM highlighted employment generation by his government, saying that his government had established an honest, fair and transparent work culture, because of which the state is progressing fast.
Comparing the SP with the characters of Mahabharata, Yogi pointed out that earlier the recruitment process was compromised on the lines of caste and money. He alleged that as soon as any recruitment process started in the previous regime the characters of Mahabharat used to become active for ‘vasooli’ (extortion).
Taking a jibe at the previous governments, he aid, “earlier, appointment of SDM was done by charging a sum of Rs 42 to 65 lakhs. CBI investigation into such matters is still underway. Money was also extorted from the eligible candidates.”
Referring to the works done by his government the CM said, “UP’s economy, which was ranked sixth in the country four and a half years back, is country’s second biggest economy today.”
“Similarly, UP also improved its ease of doing business ranking, skyrocketing from the14th place four years ago to second position now. Stable law and order in the state has helped us gain confidence of industrialists and investors.” he added.
He said that during the pandemic period, half of the sugar mills in Maharashtra were closed, all the sugar mills in Brazil were closed. It was the UP government that operated all 121 sugar mills during the COVID period. Help desk was set up for the employee’s safety and all precautions were taken for COVID testing.
