Jalgaon Train Accident Death Toll Rises to 13

Jalgaon : The death toll from the tragic Jalgaon train accident has risen to 13 after a headless body was recovered along the railway tracks. The accident occurred on Wednesday evening when some passengers from the Mumbai-bound Pushpak Express, who had gotten off the train following an alarm chain-pulling incident, were tragically run over by the Karnataka Express traveling from Bengaluru to Delhi on adjacent tracks in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon district.
Police confirmed that of the 13 victims, eight bodies have been identified so far, including two through their Aadhaar cards, according to Special Inspector General of Police Dattatraya Karale.
The Commissioner of Railway Safety, Central Circle, has been tasked with investigating the incident. Manoj Arora, CRS, Central Circle, is expected to visit the accident site between Pardhade and Maheji railway stations near Pachora, located over 400 km from Mumbai, on Thursday to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
