Ishan Kishan cracks fastest 210 in ODIs, becomes 4th Indian batter

India defeat Bangladesh by 227 runs in 3rd ODI. Ishan scored 24 fours and 10 sixers in his 210.

Chattogram: Ishan Kishan was in scorching form against Bangladesh in the third ODI here on Saturday scoring a scintillating double century. His double century helped India post 409 for 8 wkts. Bangladesh crashed out at 187, though won the series with 2-1.
Kishan was drafted in the playing XI to replace the injured skipper Rohit Sharma, opening the batting. He made his attacking intent right from the very off, playing some blazing shots.
Despite losing opening partner Shikhar Dhawan early, Kishan embarked upon a sizzling stand with Virat Kohli. Kishan would bring up his first international century in the 24th over and then would only go on to up the ante.
He would soon bring India’s highest individual score against Bangladesh, surpassing Virender Sehwag’s 175 in Mirpur in 2011.
Kishan then had his sights on a landmark double century and would bring up the feat in the 35th over in only 126 balls. His knock was only the 9th double century in the history of ODI cricket and he would become the fourth Indian to do so. It was also the fastest double century in ODI cricket.
The illustrious list of double centurions in ODI cricket includes Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Rohit Sharma, Chris Gayle, Martin Guptill and Fakhar Zaman.
His knock of 210 off 131 deliveries would finally be brought to an end by Taskin Ahmed in 36th over, becoming the sixth highest score in the history of ODI cricket, ICC reported.
His knock set up India to post a mammoth total of 409/8 in the contest. Bangladesh had an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
