Investor Demands Elon Musk’s Resignation as Tesla CEO..

Claims Musk’s Distractions Are Hurting Tesla’s Reputation…

New Delhi : Ross Gerber, a longtime investor in Tesla, has publicly called for Elon Musk to step down as the company’s CEO, citing concerns over his divided attention, particularly due to his involvement in White House affairs. Gerber believes that Musk’s political engagements are driving Tesla toward a crisis and that the company urgently needs a new CEO to refocus on business operations.

Gerber, who is the CEO of Gerber Kawasaki Wealth Management, stated in an interview with Sky News that Musk is primarily dedicating his time to governmental matters and neglecting Tesla’s leadership. He argued that the company has been overlooked for too long and requires a dedicated CEO to steer it back on track. Despite not being one of Tesla’s largest shareholders, Gerber owns 262,352 shares of the company as of February 2025. His firm has been gradually reducing its stake in Tesla since 2023, citing growing concerns over Musk’s leadership.

The controversy surrounding Musk has intensified ever since his increased involvement in White House affairs. Gerber has been a vocal advocate for changes in Tesla’s board and leadership, insisting that Musk either refocus on Tesla or appoint a new CEO. He expressed that while Tesla continues to innovate, it requires full-time leadership to maintain its competitive edge. He further argued that Musk’s deep involvement in Twitter (now X) has negatively impacted Tesla’s reputation and market position.

Tesla’s stock has been on a downward trajectory, with a 5% decline over the past five days and a 50% drop from its peak in December. Investors are growing increasingly concerned about the company’s future, with many echoing Gerber’s call for leadership changes. He emphasized that Tesla’s declining sales and weakening market position stem from Musk’s divided focus. According to him, a distracted CEO cannot effectively manage one of the world’s most valuable automotive companies.

The debate over Musk’s leadership continues to spark discussions in business and investor circles. Whether Musk will respond to these concerns or make adjustments to his role remains to be seen. However, with Tesla’s declining stock performance and growing criticism, the pressure for change is mounting.
