Mumbai: India’s ace Industy Tycoon, Tata empire Chairman Emiratus, Rattan Naval Tata died in Breach Candy Hospital Mumbai today evening, at about 11 p.m.
Great visionary, patriot and most popular industry leader RattanTata (86) was undergoing treatment for various age related issues in the hospital.
The news of Rattan Tata’s death sent shock wave across the country, as he was one of the greatest sons of Indian industry, social life as Tata group is known as one of the biggest philanthropic, Nationalist and professional driving force of Indian economy. The group encompasses over 100 companies in 10 verticals, from core sectors like Salt, steel, travel, computer, science, education, technolgy to Space. Automobiles to Airlines…….! Healthcare and aftercare (medical and general insurance) and impacts everyday life of Indians.
The Group recently acquired back the loss making Air India, which was founded by his grand parent JRD Tata in 1932, to keep its family legacy alive and surviving professionally.
Tributes full of rspect and love for the great son of Indian industry, started pouring as soon as the news of his death was announced by hospital spokesperson. Business leaders Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani; politicians Rajnath Singh, PM Modi and (not to be left behind,) the West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, sent a condolence message on the occasion.
PM Modi said on X (Twitter) : ” Shri Ratan Tata Ji was a visionary business leader, a compassionate soul and an extraordinary human being. He provided stable leadership to one of India’s oldest and most prestigious business houses. At the same time, his contribution went far beyond the boardroom. He endeared himself to several people thanks to his humility, kindness and an unwavering commitment to making our society better.”
