IAC pres Hemant Patil to Contest BMC elections

Mumbai: India Against Corruption (IAC) president Hemant Patil today declared that his party will Contest on seats of upcoming Mumbai Municipal Corporation against the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA).
Mr. Patil said to avoid the power in BMC by MVA party leaders like Shiv Sena of Uddhav Thackeray, NCP and Congress against Shiv in state, so also in order to fulfill the resolution of a corruption-free municipality, ‘India Against Corruption’ will field candidates on all the seats in the upcoming Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections which can bring transparency governance in the municipality.
Patil said that this is the first step taken by the organization for a new political option.
From the past many years, the Thackeray group dominated the municipality. But this year, Mumbaikars will put their full strength behind the transparent governance organization like IAC, Patil said.
The organization had also contested the Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections in the past. Moreover, in the last two and a half decades, the organization had put their candidates in Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad, Nagpur metropolitan cities to Contest the local elections, he added.
The vast experience of contesting elections is with the organization. He further said that the voters will stand firmly behind India Against Corruption to get a free 600 square feet house for the slum dwellers, free education for children, Rs 50 lakh insurance for hospital treatment for all, Rs 1 thousand per month allowance for women, he claims.
Patil said that there is a resolution to bring transparency in the administration by doing these works directly through the municipality.
