HP: Winter session of assembly will start at Tapovan from Dec 10
Dharamsala, Dec 2 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Vipin Singh Parmar on Thursday said that the winter session of the Legislative Assembly will be held at Tapovan Sidhbadri from December 10 to December 15, a total of five sittings will be held during the session, while one day has been earmarked for the non-official member’s day.
He said that during the assembly session, instructions have been given to the officers to ensure complete compliance of the Covid protocol.
Presiding over the meeting held for the preparations of the winter session in the assembly hall at Tapovan on Thursday, Vipin Singh Parmar said that during the assembly session, instructions have been issued to make elaborate security arrangements in Dharamshala and its surrounding areas.
He said that it has also been asked to prepare a traffic plan so that there is no inconvenience at any level.
He said that instructions have been given to improve the drinking water and electricity system in the assembly premises.
He said that during the Vidhan Sabha session, a special place would also be selected for health facilities and Covid testing etc. so that the people coming from outside during the session could be tested for Covid.
He said that proper arrangements would be made for accommodation, food etc of the guests coming to attend the session. On this occasion, the assembly complex and its surrounding parking etc have also been discussed in detail.
Earlier, the Secretary of the Legislative Assembly Yashpal Sharma gave detailed information about the preparations. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner, Kangra Dr Nipun Jindal said that preparations have been started by the district administration regarding the assembly session and instructions have also been given to various departmental officers to complete the work on time. After the meeting, Vipin Singh Parmar took stock of the preparations in the assembly premises.
On this occasion, officers of various departments including Superintendent of Police Khushal Sharma, SDM Shilpi Bekta and other officers too were present.
