Himachal records 446 new cases, 2 more deaths
Dharamshala: Two males, one each from Mandi and Bilaspur districts died of Covid-19 on Tuesday and at least 446 more people tested positive for the Corona virus on Tuesday.
The addition of these new cases has taken Himachal’s overall caseload to 308133. The fresh cases included the highest 136 in Kangra district followed by 68 from Mandi and 55 from Shimla district.
Spokesman of the Health Department told UNI that all the 446 fresh cases who have tested positive today have been isolated as per the protocol.
The spokesman further said that today there were two deaths due to Covid, one each in Mandi and Bilaspur districts. He said that a 90-year-old male patient died in Bilaspur and a 67-year male person from Mandi district of also died. The overall death toll of the state has now gone up to 4166.
He said that the number of active cases has further gone up to 2396 on Tuesday which included the highest 609 from Kangra. There are 100 active cases in Chamba, 362 in Shimla, 254 in Hamirpur, 361 in Mandi, 111 in Solan and 190 in Bilaspur and remaining from the other four districts of the state.
The sources told UNI that there were 255 recoveries today in the state, thus keeping the number of the recovered patients at 301551 today.
There were 4476 samples collected in the state since yesterday.
On Tuesday 7 persons who were among those who tested positive today were admitted to the different hospitals of the state where they were being treated as per the Covid 19 protocol He however said that 10 patients were discharged today from different hospitals. (UNI)
