Cold Winds Cause Temperature Drop in Haryana, Weather Likely to Change After December 8
Chandigarh: The cold wave in Haryana has intensified, with chilly winds increasing the chill factor and causing a dip in night temperatures. Rohtak and Mahendragarh have recorded the highest cold during early mornings and late nights. In Rohtak, the temperature has been reported as low as 25°C. The weather department has indicated that the state is likely to experience dry weather conditions until December 8, with a significant change expected afterward.
Forecast for Weather Change: According to meteorologists, Haryana is likely to remain dry for the time being. However, a weak western disturbance affecting the mountains may lead to changes in wind direction, resulting in cloud cover, which could cause a further drop in both night and day temperatures. In the past 24 hours, the minimum temperature recorded in Yamunanagar was 9.2°C, which is 2.9°C higher than normal.
The weather department has forecast a slight drop in temperatures due to the northern and north-western cold winds until December 6. Light fog is also expected to form in some areas during early mornings. A weak western disturbance is expected to become active from December 7, which may change wind directions and bring a shift in weather patterns. This could lead to changes in temperature during December 7-8.
As per the weather department, Haryana’s weather is expected to remain dry until December 8. The northern and north-western cold winds are predicted to cause a slight dip in night temperatures and fog in the mornings until December 6.
