Har Ghar Tiranga padyatra held in Sikkim with great enthusiasm

Gangtok: Sikkim Chief Minister PS Tamang on Saturday participated in the PadYatra at Soreng, during Har Ghar Tiranga drive in West Sikkim, accompanied by his wife Sharda Tamang, MLA Aditya Golay (his son) some of his Cabinet colleagues,
Panchayats and officers.
The huge PadYatra as a part of 75th anniversary celebrations of Nations Independence with Tricolour held by almost everyone had good response.
The Minister for Agriculture, Lok Nath Sharma, attended PadYatra at Legship, South Sikkim. While, Minister for Roads & Bridges, attended the programme at Mangan, North Sikkim.
Minister for Food Arun Upreti, attended a Football tournament and some other MLAs also attended the same marking the Platinum Jubilee of Independence Day.
The best part of the Statewide patriotic programme was the Bike Rally from Regu, East via Zuluk Gnathang to Baba Mandir, Tsongmu Lake and Nathu-La pass on Indo – China border, punctuated by Army welcoming the bikers.
At the capital Gangtok, an Inter School patriotic song competition was held. The campaign Har Ghar Tiranga will continue till August 15. (UNI)
