Girls’ dreams start taking a flight
Chandigarh: As per the visionary thinking of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, taking an important initiative towards realizing the dreams of girls of Punjab aspiring to join the Armed Forces, the State Government has established the Center for Training and Employment of Punjab Youth (CTE) exclusively for girls in Kapurthala. C-Pite) has decided to open the camp. It is worth mentioning that this camp will be run by women staff only. This decision was taken in the 33rd meeting of the Executive Board of C-PITE held under the chairmanship of Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Aman Arora.
Aman Arora said that the existing C-PIT camp located at Tehsil Kanjhala in Kapurthala district will be converted into a girls’ camp, where they will be recruited into the armed forces, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Punjab Police. Will be given training to be qualify for joining armed forces. Earlier, only boys were being trained in this C-Pite Camp.
He told that for recruitment as officers in the armed forces by C-PIT, NDA is required. Or C.D.S. Arrangements will also be made for training of Service Selection Board (SSB) for the youth of Punjab who pass the written examination of S.S.B.
Cabinet Minister Aora further said that apart from starting security and fire-fighting related training for the youth, it has also been decided to provide armed security training. Apart from this, driving training, training to operate JCB/Poclean and drones will also be started for the youth in C-PIT camps of the state.
