Delhi HC Orders CLAT 2025 Results Revision
Errors in two questions lead to revised scores for all candidates
Delhi : The Delhi High Court has directed the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) to revise the results of the CLAT 2025 undergraduate exam after identifying errors in two specific questions. The court found that errors in Question 14 and Question 100 were “demonstrably clear” and must be corrected to ensure fairness for all candidates.
The ruling came after a petition by a 17-year-old candidate, Aditya Singh, who challenged the final answer key. The court upheld the Expert Committee’s assessment, which confirmed Option C as the correct answer for Question 14. It also agreed that Question 100 should be excluded from the exam results.
As a result, candidates who chose Option C for Question 14 will now receive the benefit, and Question 100 will not be counted towards the final scores. The Delhi HC emphasized that this revision would apply to all candidates, not just Singh, ensuring a fair and transparent process.
The decision is expected to affect the overall rankings, with some candidates potentially improving their scores and securing better chances for admission.
The Consortium of NLUs, which organizes the CLAT exam, was ordered to announce the revised results at the earliest. The case highlights the importance of accuracy and transparency in the admission process for law universities in India.
