Dallewal Urges Farm Unions to Unite for Protest Success
Calls for Farmer Solidarity Amid Ongoing Struggle for MSP and Debt Waiver….
Patiala : Reaffirming his commitment to an indefinite fast until farmers’ demands are met, farm leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal on Tuesday called for unity among all farm unions. He urged leaders to set aside differences and form a united front, emphasizing that unity is the key to victory.
Dallewal questioned the prolonged discussions among various factions, stating, “People want us to fight together, but multiple meetings are delaying the process.” He also urged farmers across the country to gather at the Khanauri border on February 12 to mark the anniversary of their protest, hoping for renewed strength and momentum.
The ongoing farmer protests remain divided over demands, with some groups focusing on MSP and debt waiver, while others prioritize a broader agricultural policy framework.
Meanwhile, Kisan Mazdoor Morcha chief Sarwan Singh Pandher condemned the vandalism of Ambedkar’s statue in Amritsar, alleging it was an attempt to derail the protest. He urged authorities to take swift action and protect religious and public places from such incidents.
