Mumbai: Former chairman of Tata Sons Cyrus Mistry died in road
mishap in Palghar district of Maharashtra on Sunday, police said. Mistry (54) was travelling from Ahmedabad to Mumbai in a Mercedes car.
Superintendent of Police Palghar Bala Saheb Patil confirmed this and said that the accident took place around 3.15 pm when Mistry was travelling from Ahmedabad to Mumbai.
The accident happened on a bridge over the Surya River.
The body of Mistry has been taken to a government hospital for post-mortem.
