Curtains down on 6th Arunachal LitFest 2024 leaving behind a trail of mesmerizing memories
The Literature Festival 6th edition, themed “A New Dawn of Literature, held last week in Itanagar, provided an inspiring bonhomie among brilliant story-tellers
Itanagar: The three day Arunachal Literature Festival inaugurated by the state Governor Lt. Gen. Kaiwalya Trivikram Parnaik, PVSM, UYSM, YSM (Retd) on Nov. 13 was an inspiring event, putting together scores of literary minds from across India. The event organized at DK Convention Centre, Itanagar was 6th in the series and had 22 sessions featuring 75 authors, writers, poets and storytellers reciting their mind rewinding tales..
Providing a perfect arena for literary vocations organized under the Presidentship of Yeshe Dorjee Thongchi, Padmashree Awardee Mamang Dai, (Advisor) Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society and Nyali Ete, IAS, Secretary (IPR), Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh and senior officials of Dept. of IPR Onyok Pertin, Director (IPR), Gijum Tali, Dy. Director (IPR) and staff of Dept. of IPR and volunteers for ensuring a seamless experience for speakers and attendees. Their efforts included receiving speakers at the airport etc., comfortable accommodation at hotels, and efficient transportation to and from the venue.
A prominent invitee from national capital Delhi, Dr. Suresh Gaur, PR Guru had the pleasure of presenting his latest (4th) book on PR & Event Mgmt. to the Governor during the inaugural ceremony in the august presence of state Home Minister, Minister (IPR) and Secretary (IPR)
Sessions: Over 22 sessions featuring over 75 authors, writers, poets, and storytellers. – 9 sessions on wide-ranging topics ; 2 storytelling sessions; 1 short stories reading session, 1 poetry recitation session; 2 workshops (comic illustration and screenwriting); 1 prose reading session; 4 meet-the-author sessions and 2 children’s storytelling events. The festival was attended by hundreds of people, including students, academicians, people having interest in literature, media and government officials.
Celebrating Arunachal’s Literary Spirit: Arunachal LitFest’s 6th edition aimed to preserve and promote literature, regional, national and global, offering a platform for established and emerging authors from around the globe, to share their work.
Organizational Success: The team of volunteers and organizers, led by Yeshe Dorjee Thongchi, President, and Padamshri Awardee Mamang Dai earned wide spread kudos from the speakers, attendees and audience.
A Lasting Legacy: 6th Arunachal Literature Festival concluded on November 15 with a vote of thanks by Secy. IPR Nyali Ete, IAS, over high tea for all participants.
