Children Made to Wash Dishes in Faridabad Bal Bhavan Toilet..
Viral Video Sparks Outrage Over Child Exploitation and Hygiene Negligence in Government Facility…
A shocking incident has surfaced from Faridabad, Haryana, where children at the government-run Bal Bhavan were allegedly made to wash utensils inside a toilet. The disturbing visuals, which have now gone viral on social media, have triggered widespread outrage and raised serious questions about child rights, hygiene, and government oversight.
In the video, several young children can be seen cleaning dishes near or inside a toilet facility, sparking strong reactions from parents, activists, and the general public. The footage shows unsanitary conditions and the clear use of minors for tasks completely unrelated to their education or recreational development, which is the primary purpose of Bal Bhavan centers.
Following the viral circulation of the video, authorities in Faridabad have taken cognizance of the issue. The District Child Welfare Committee (CWC) and local administration have launched an investigation into the incident. Officials have promised strict action against those found responsible for the negligence and misuse of children.
Speaking to local media, parents of the children expressed anger and disappointment. “We send our children to Bal Bhavan to learn, not to do manual labor, especially in such unhygienic conditions,” said one parent. Many questioned how such an act could occur in a government-supervised environment.
Child rights activists have also condemned the act and emphasized that it violates multiple child protection laws, including the Juvenile Justice Act. “Using children to clean utensils, that too in a toilet area, is not just humiliating but extremely dangerous to their health and self-esteem,” said a member of a local NGO.
Meanwhile, the Haryana State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (HSCPCR) has also taken notice and asked for a detailed report from the district administration within 48 hours.
This incident has reignited a larger debate on the conditions of government welfare institutions for children and the level of monitoring they receive. Many are now demanding systemic reforms and regular audits of such facilities to ensure that children’s dignity, health, and rights are protected at all costs.
As the investigation progresses, the authorities are under pressure to hold those accountable and take preventive measures to avoid such incidents in the future.
