As of 1.30 pm, the voter turnout stood at 41.59%. As per data from the office of the chief Electoral Officer Karnataka, the highest voter turnout was in Chikkodi -45.69%, followed by Shimoga--44.98%.

SIT chief and Additional Director General of Police B K Singh said the victims need not have to visit the office as the team would personally approach them to offer them relief.

The SIT sought police custody of the accused for five days, while Revanna’s advocate Murthy D Naik objected, stating that his client has health issues and is cooperating with the investigation.

CM Siddaramaiah held an "important meeting" with SIT officials, during which he instructed that immediate action be taken to arrest Prajwal Revanna.
